2. Information we collect

We may collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, profile details, household information, manually entered financial data, uploaded files, and communications you send through Rich Cat.

We may also collect information from connected services you authorize, technical usage data, device/browser information, logs, and information generated as part of your use of the product, such as tasks, expenses, budgets, goals, and transaction categorizations.

3. How we use information

We use information to operate Rich Cat, personalize the experience, provide customer support, improve the product, maintain security, analyze usage, generate planning insights, and deliver AI-assisted features such as categorization, recommendations, and summaries.

4. AI and service providers

Some Rich Cat features may send limited necessary data to service providers that help us deliver infrastructure, analytics, storage, email, or AI-based functionality. We work to use providers in ways that support the operation of the service, but AI outputs may still be imperfect and should be reviewed by users.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers, affiliates, professional advisers, law enforcement or regulators when legally required, or in connection with a business reorganization, financing, or acquisition.

6. Household visibility and privacy controls

Rich Cat includes shared and private visibility settings. We design features to respect those controls, but you remain responsible for choosing the settings that fit your household and reviewing what you decide to share.

7. Data retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain security, and enforce agreements, unless a longer or shorter period is required by law.

8. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your choices

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or limit certain uses of your information. You may also update some profile and visibility settings directly within Rich Cat.

10. Children

Rich Cat is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

11. Policy updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may update the effective date and take additional steps when appropriate.
